Five Science and Technology Predictions for 2013

Given our (very) incomplete view of the trends coursing through the wide world of science and technology, we figured why not throw caution to the wind like others and take a few stabs at what the future holds for 2013.

What follows is part studied projection based on our reporting in 2012 and part wishful thinking—a desire for all the real-world obstacles, bottlenecks, timelines and budgetary considerations that slow the march of progress to vanish in a puff of smoke.
